Foodbank Administrator (part-time)
Location: Lambeth, South London.
This role would suit someone wishing to work from home but must be able to get to all venues easily.
Contract: Fixed term for 1 year
This is an initial contract for 1 year but with options to potentially extend.
Hours: Part-time (up to 15 hours a week which can be negotiable).
It is expected this would be weekdays, daytime but there could some need to work evenings or weekends.
Salary: up to £24,000 p.a. pro-rata (dependent on experience)
Norwood and Brixton Foodbank is part of the Trussell Trust network of Foodbanks providing emergency food to support those in crisis.
As a busy Foodbank based in South Lambeth covering three sites we are looking to recruit an administrator to help provide high quality administrative support to the Project Lead, Trustees and other staff and volunteers.
Norwood and Brixton Foodbank is a charity founded on Christian principles. Not every member of the team is a Christian but we all subscribe to the same values and hope that the new team member will too.
- You will have excellent organisational skills especially when working under pressure to cope with multiple demands and deadlines, whilst ensuring high standards are consistently met.
- A confident communicator, you will write fluently and be able to think clearly and to grasp new concepts quickly.
- You will be passionate about the work of foodbanks, demonstrating empathy and the ability to work with people from disadvantaged, marginalised, or socially excluded backgrounds.
- A self-starter, you will be comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.
