Harvest time is fast approaching and we could really use your help. This is traditionally an important time for us when we are able to replenish our stock to see us through the busy Christmas period. If you are a school, church, community organisation or even a work place – could you consider holding a harvest collection to gather food for us? If you are intending to run a collection please contact us on [email protected] so we can tailor your collection to our specific needs. Thank you.

We are hugely grateful to the guys from Chaos Theory and Wrong Pop for organising an awesome night of musical entertainment on Saturday, 25th August and raising money for Foodbank.
A total of £427 was generated through ticket sales. Thank you so much.

A big thank you to April Jackson who runs Three Little Birds kitchen and rum bar in Brixton. April has continued to provide us with food donations over the summer thanks to her ingenious idea of adding a discretionary £1 to every food bill. Thanks also to every customer who contributed towards the scheme.

We are sad to announce that the incredible Sue Noel will be leaving her role as advice worker at our Brixton branch later this month. Sue is employed by the Brixton Advice Centre and had been invaluable to us offering clients guidance on benefits, housing and debt for many years. We wish you well on your new adventure Sue! We are pleased to say that our partnership with both the Brixton Advice Centre and Centre 70 will continue with services running as normal.

Our team had a great day at #KnowlesFest on Monday, 27th August. Foodbank volunteers ran a stall in the afternoon, telling festival-goers at the Knowles of Norwood pub about our service.
Many thanks to Knowles of Norwood for allowing us to participate.

If you pass Yeatman Funeral Directors in West Norwood you may notice a Foodbank display in their window. This is because they will be collecting food for us throughout the month of September to celebrate harvest.

Do support them if you are able.

Save the date: We will be braving the cold for our winter supermarket collection on Thursday, 29th and Friday, 30th November as well as Saturday, 1st December at Tesco stores in Streatham and Brixton.

If you are able to use your corporate volunteering hours book them in now! More details to follow soon.

Thank you to Canopy Beer Company who recently raised a fantastic £591 for our Foodbank by encouraging donations while celebrating their new artwork.
Ale in a days work for Canopy!

On Sunday, 16th September we hosted a stall at the Herne Hill market with the aim of promoting our Foodbank. A big thanks to Mike, Janice, Emma, Anna and Amanda for all their help and for the food and cash donations they collected. There was a lot of interest from the public and it was great to be part of this regular community event.

We are short of these foods. If you could purchase any of the above mentioned items, we would be very grateful.
