Brixton Advice Centre is expanding its outreach services in Lambeth foodbanks with a new full-time benefits advice role.

Brixton Advice Centre (BAC) is expanding its outreach services in Lambeth foodbanks with a new full-time benefits advice role. The post is supported by Norwood and Brixton Foodbank, part of the Lambeth Partnership of Foodbanks, which incorporates other foodbanks operating in the borough.

BAC is a dynamic independent advice centre that provides specialist advice services in housing, benefits, and debt. This new full-time role (35 hours per week) is a great opportunity for a driven and enthusiastic benefits adviser to provide outreach at foodbank hubs across Lambeth. The post holder will also carry out follow-up casework at the BAC main office on Railton Road (between Brixton and Herne Hill, London).

The successful candidate will join a small, friendly and supportive team of staff and volunteers dedicated to providing high-quality services to persons in need. You will be supported through regular supervision and training. The post is fixed-term for three years although it may be extended.

Salary: £32k p/a
Hours: Full time (35 hours p/w)
Term: Fixed term, three years with possibility of extension
